Officers from the Academy of Land Forces in Wroclaw participated in the 47th Winston P. Wilson competition and the 27th Armed Forces Skill at Arms Sniper Championships organized at the American base Fort Chaffee, Arkansas.

The Academy representatives competed with professional sniper teams from the USA, Poland, Denmark, Canada and Italy. Two cadets competed in the precision shooting and field crafts – including detection and elimination of masked targets at unknown distances, shooting for mobile purposes during the day and at night, and performing “under stress” tasks with the transfer of the wounded soldier.

Most of the shooting was done with the so-called “Cold barrel” – with no possibility of correcting the fire and in accordance with the “blind shoot” principle – lack of knowledge about the next competition. The cadets from Wrocław took 15th place in the general classification for 20 teams.
