The XXIX Congress of the Association of Agricultural and Agribusiness Economists was held in Olsztyn from 5 to 7 September 2023. The main organiser of this year’s event was the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn.

The Congress was attended by nearly 140 scientists and experts from: The Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the University of Rzeszów, the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin, the University of Agriculture in Kraków and the Marshal’s Office in Olsztyn, the National Agricultural Support Centre, the Agricultural Advisory Centre and the Central Statistical Office.

The first part of the Congress took the form of plenary sessions. The second part consisted of study tours, during which the organisers presented Warmia and Mazury and the problems of agriculture and agribusiness in the region. Participants visited the Folk Architecture Museum – Ethnographic Park in Olsztynek and the Potters’ Village in Kamionka.
