Olsztyn Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences receives prestigious European grant

The Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Olsztyn will receive EUR 2.5 million under the EU program ERA Chairs. It will allow to launch a Center of Excellence dealing with nutrigenomics.

This is a field that allows to understand the impact of nutrition on genetic predisposition to diet-related diseases.

-The project will allow us to increase the recognition and attractiveness of the institute, and thus develop the already existing strategic partnership with leading research centers in Europe and become a desirable member of international research consortia – said Prof. Mariusz K. Piskuła, director of the Olsztyn Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and project coordinator.
