Olsztyn scientist vice-president of the Polish Historical Society

Dr Andrzej Korytko from the Institute of History and International Relations of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn became the vice-president of the Polish Historical Society. He will be responsible for historical contests and popularization of history.

The Polish Historical Society is one of the largest and oldest associations in Poland. It was established in 1886 in Lvov. It has over 40 active branch offices and has about 4,000 members.

Dr Andrzej Korytko is scientifically involved in modern history, examining the seventeenth-century gentry elite of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the old Polish parliamentarianism.
