On 20-22 September 2023 the Centre for the Popularisation of Science and Innovation at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) ‘Kortosfera’ will host the 21st Olsztyn Science and Arts Days. The main theme of this event will be astronomy and Nicolaus Copernicus, but there will be plenty of encounters with knowledge from other fields. The programme of this year’s event has been divided into five thematic panels:
Secrets of the World (biology, chemistry, geography, climate change, renewable energy, ecology);
Healthy living (nutrition, medicine, sport, psychology, environmental protection);
The world of technology (geoengineering, telescopes, space, physics, mathematics, computer science, technical science, forensics, technology transfer);
The art in us (literature, film, theatre, painting, graphic design, music, dance);
Conscious Society (economic, political, social sciences, law).
The event is co-financed with almost PLN 373,000 from the state budget, awarded by the Minister of Education and Science within the framework of the Programme “Social Responsibility of Science II”.
