The Opole University of Technology signed an agreement with the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. The document provides activating people with disabilities, supporting such people in the implementation of the education process, organizing joint training and searching for sources of financing initiatives in the field of educating people with disabilities.
– Cooperation with organizations, especially universities, is particularly important to us. I hope that this will be the beginning of broader cooperation – says Łukasz Żmuda, the director of the Opole branch of the Fund.
The signed agreement is not the first initiative of the University of Technology for people with disabilities. Last year, the university opened the Disabled Persons Support Office, eliminated many architectural barriers, provide sound system for the website, also purchased inductive loops, library scanners, wheelchairs and a Face Controller – a computer controlled by facial expressions.
