Opole University of Technology is launching a pilot mentoring programme called ‘Mentor Mix’, which will connect students with mentors from the business. Each student who takes part in the programme will work with a selected mentor for several months. In addition, they will be able to benefit from industry training for free.
Six university graduates have been invited to act as mentors, with many years of experience in areas ranging from construction to automation to athletics. Each of them is joining the programme to give something of themselves to aspiring students, helping them to take their first professional steps more confidently.
The mentoring programme will involve a series of meetings between a mentor and a student over several months. Each participant will work with a mentor and will additionally have PLN 4,000 to spend on training to complement their competences (e.g. Excel, Lean, AutoCad, Corel, etc.). The programme is held under the patronage of the Opole Lodge of the Business Centre Club.
