The Opole University of Technology (PO) is one of four universities in Poland to be ranked in the Research.com ranking for mechanical engineering. The ranking examines how universities are developing and is strictly about work and research. “Thanks to this, universities can not only see where they are, but also candidates for studies can check what a given university has to offer them and at what level”, says the Vice-Rector for Science and Development of the Opole University of Technology, Prof. Grzegorz Królczyk.

Mechanical engineering is one of the key areas dealt with by the Opole university’s researchers. In the national ranking, the PO is in third place behind the Lublin University of Technology and the Gdansk University of Technology. Worldwide, the university is ranked 222nd.

The ranking considers the achievements of scientific centres, but also analyses the output of each scientist separately: it is built on the basis of scientific publications, but only those related to mechanical engineering.
