Only 297 European universities, including 14 Polish institutions of higher education, were ranked in the latest U.S. News Best Global Universities Subject Ranking on engineering. The Opole University of Technology is in this group. In the national classification, the university was ranked 9th.
“This is very good news for us because, above all, it confirms the high quality of our university’s research. It is also great news for our students and industry, with which our university cooperates intensively”, says the Rector of the Opole University of Technology, Prof. Marcin Lorenc.
The ranking takes into account, among other things, the number of publications, the reputation of local and global research, citations or international cooperation. Publications in the ‘engineering’ category focus on the design, construction and use of structures, machines and systems, from aerospace, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering to nuclear energy, applied artificial intelligence and robotics.
