The Opole University of Technology (PO) has been ranked in the Nature Index. In terms of the number of scientific articles published in the world’s most prestigious scientific journals, the PO is the twelfth technical university in Poland.
“The ranking analyses the work of all scientific centres in the country and in the world, and is based on the number of publications without taking into account the number of employees, which is all the more pleasing because we have relatively fewer employees and yet we are recognised”, says Prof. Grzegorz Królczyk, Vice-Chancellor for Science and Development at the Opole University of Technology.
The Nature Index is not the first ranking that recognises the achievements of Opole University of Technology scientists. Data from the SciVal platform shows that the number of publications by the university’s scientists in the top rankings of the world’s most prestigious scientific journals has increased threefold in two years. Achievements of scientists from Opole are most often reached by Americans.
