Ten Opole University of Technology researchers have been included in the list of the top 2% most influential in the world. The ranking, prepared by the US-based Stanford University together with Elsevier publishing, looks at researchers from around the world who are cited by other scientists.

The compilation is based on two criteria. The first assesses the overall output of researchers from the beginning of their career to 2021 according to a bibliometric index, while the second is concerned only with scientific achievements, citations from 2021.

“The Opole University of Technology’s scientific development is noticeable worldwide, as evidenced, among other things, by the very result of the Stanford University ranking. It is worth emphasising the fact that the results of the world’s objective rankings are not only an appreciation of our work, but also translate into interest in studying at our university among foreign candidates”, says Prof. Grzegorz Królczyk, Vice-Rector for Science and Development of the Opole University of Technology.
