Scientists from the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Opole University of Technology will develop a catalogue of good practices for employing foreigners. For this purpose, they will use the information collected in the competition organized by the university, “Opole Firm Friendly to Foreigners”.
24 employers entered the competition. In their companies, students of the University of Technology conducted in-depth interviews, under the supervision of scientific tutors. The assessment took into account the manner of employment of a foreigner depending on whether he received an employment contract or is employed on the basis of a civil law contract.
Additional benefits or assistance offered by the employer were also assessed – including accommodation, transport from and to work, vocational training, assistance in the legalization of stay or in various crisis situations, as well as assistance in connection with a pandemic.
The collected data showed that foreigners working in Opole companies come mainly from Ukraine, but also from Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Syria, the Philippines and Zimbabwe.
