Opole University of Technology together with the Opole Chamber of Crafts has been launching the Academy of Craft and Entrepreneurship since September. This is the only educational institution in the region that will educate young people in forty professions.
The project assumes the launch of three public schools: First-grade Branch School, Technical Secondary School and Post-secondary School. The first school will educate its adepts about 35 craft occupations, which are currently sought on the Opole labor and services market. The second school will give a profession to IT, hairdressers and logistics specialists, while the third to florists and OSH technicians.
Academy students will also benefit from the academic facilities and lecturers who will lead classes together with experts and craft masters. For the university, the initiative is a chance to interest young people in practical education and to continue it in the already known university environment. It is also an interesting path to receive diploma and enhance cooperation and joint research with local entrepreneurs.
