Opole University of Technology is one of the beneficiaries of the project “Implementation of the air quality management system in the self-governments of the Opolskie Voivodeship” co-financed by the European Union.
The coordinator of the project is the voivodship self-government, it is attended by 26 communes of the Opole region and the Czech regions – Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc. The aim is to increase the capacity and improve the quality of public administration activities at all levels, in relation to the corrective actions set out in the air protection plan (POP).
The implementers want to achieve this goal by preparing and implementing at all levels of the self-government (commune, poviat, voivodship) a uniform information system supporting the implementation of POPs and increasing public awareness in the field of air quality.
The value of the entire project is EUR 2.8 million, of which 55% is allocated by the European Commission LIFE Program.
