The Opole University of Technology will receive financial support under the ‘Regional Excellence Initiative’ programme. The amount of more than PLN 8 million will be earmarked for research and scientific activity.

Thanks to the funding, the university will implement a project entitled ‘Raising the research and development activity of the Opole University of Technology in the area of sustainable production’. The aim of the project is, among other things, to equip the university’s laboratories, increase the importance of the research conducted in the international scientific community and increase the impact of scientific research and development work on the functioning of the socio-economic environment in the region. 

The planned activities are also aimed at strengthening interdisciplinary research within the framework of so-called sustainable production and the joint integrated development of work aimed at the needs of a modern economy implementing a closed loop economy. As part of the project, scientists from the Opole University will be able to attend internships abroad.
