The Scientific Committee on Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) has awarded three equivalent prizes for the Professor Zdzisław Pawlak Outstanding Monograph in Informatics. 

The awards were given to: Krzysztof Brzostowski, Applications of Signal Processing in Stream Data Fusion, published by Oficyna Wydawnicza Politechniki Wroclawska, 2020, the team: Van Tham Nguyen, Ngoc Thanh Nguyen, Trong Hieu Tran, Knowledge Integration Methods for Probabilistic Knowledge-based Systems, CRC Press (Taylor & Francis), 2022, and Lech Polkowski, Logic for Computer and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, published by Springer Nature, 2022.

One of the awardees is Professor Lech Polkowski, Head of the Department of Mathematical Methods of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He is one of the scientists included in the list of the top 2% of scientists in the world in their fields according to a study by Stanford University in the USA. He deals with the application of mathematical methods in computer science, theory of knowledge and rough sets.
