More than PLN 42 million will be allocated to 164 projects in the modules ‘Popularisation of science’ and ‘Support for scientific libraries’ under the just-concluded programme ‘Social responsibility of science II’.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science, the Nicolaus Copernicus Foundation will receive the largest grant within the ‘Popularisation of Science’ module. The ‘Heaven of Copernicus’ project will receive support in the amount of PLN 900 thousand.
PLN 750 thousand each will be awarded to: Professor Walerian Pańko Institute of Local Initiatives Foundation, the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polski and the Technology Development Centre, the Polish Astronomical Society and the Catholic University of Lublin.
As part of the ‘Support for research libraries’ module, the largest grant of PLN 150 000 will be awarded to the Polish Composers’ Union (ZKP) for a project involving the conservation, digitisation and online accessibility of unique musical works from the ZKP Library.
