The Minister of Development and Technology, the European Space Agency and Axiom Space, an American space company, have signed an agreement which guarantees that the second ever Polish astronaut will participate in a space mission to orbit.
Dr Sławosz Uznański, operator of the Large Hadron Collider, is to be the Polish astronaut who will test the most advanced technologies of Polish entrepreneurs on the International Space Station (ISS). His participation in the mission has yet to be approved by the European Space Agency and the US partners.
According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, cooperation with the ESA and Axiom Space is an important step in the development of both the Polish space sector and science.
