The jury of the 4th Polish Pedagogical Society decided to award the Grand Prix PhD holder Katarzyna Grzesiak from the Institute of Pedagogy at the University of Kazimierz the Great in Bydgoszcz – for the dissertation: Experiencing success in science by PhD students.

The dissertation is in the form of pedagogical ethnography, its subject is the collective case of success in science of students of PhD studies at Åbo Akademi in Vaasa in Finland. The dissertation has theoretical and empirical nature and contains three parts and eight chapters.
The Polish Pedagogical Society has been awarding the best PhD dissertations since 2014. The aim of the competition is to promote pedagogical scientific projects characterized by the highest quality.
