PhD students of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań receive the Iwanowska’s scholarships

07.07.2020

Two PhD students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań have won the Wilhelmina Iwanowska scholarships, whose goal is to increase the international mobility of doctoral students at Polish universities. The program is organized by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

Joanna Białas will go to Munich to conduct research on habitat selection, which is the main topic of her research. This time, however, the research will be carried out in a very interesting research system – it will deal with the relationship of the host and the parasite, and more specifically great tits and ticks.

Zuzanna Jagiełło will go to Granada and will work in a newly formed team of a great, young scientist – Juan Diego Ibanez Alamo. The doctoral student will work on a project regarding the ecology of urban bird reproduction.
