The lecture entitled “Space of Humanism in Ancient Philosophy” will start a series of meetings organized as part of the general philosophy seminar “Spatial Imaging – Space Created” at the University of Silesia in Katowice. The series of lectures will begin on February 19 and will last until June 4.
Speakers include scientists from the University of Silesia, the Jagiellonian University, the Silesian University of Technology and the Silesian Medical University – philosophers, historians, sociologists, cultural experts, architects, theologians and lawyers.
The lectures are addressed to students of the humanities and social sciences and all interested. The subject matter of the meetings concerns reflection on various aspects of the understanding of space – especially in relation to the virtual world, changing the approach to the ways of understanding words: close, far, strange, unknown, safe in various contexts.
