The Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw (UW) has launched a campaign “Helmets to start” to produce protective helmets for students, doctoral students and staff of the Warsaw University.

Earlier, volunteers from the University of Warsaw as part of the “Materials for Medics” initiative printed a total of over 12 thousand helmets in two months that have been provided free of charge to nearly 240 medical institutions throughout Poland.

The University of Warsaw emphasizes, that so far over 1,500 helmets have been produced, which can be used by other students and lecturers during language exams and laboratory classes, members of application committees and employees of faculties, units and offices as part of the on-call duty system. In total, approximately 3,000 helmets will be produced for the needs of the university community.
