The Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in cooperation with Ludwig-Maximilian University Munich received a grant as part of the Beethoven Classic 3 competition. The National Science Center has received one million PLN for the project “Optical detection and control of heat flow at the nanoscale”.
The Beethoven Classic competition is organized by the National Science Center in cooperation with the German Research Community (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft). Scientists can submit their Polish-German research projects in the field of humanities, social and art sciences and selected disciplines of exact and technical sciences.
In this year’s competition, scientists submitted 130 applications for funding research projects. Experts of the National Science Center chose 34 best projects and awarded them with a total of over PLN 30 million.
