Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed the secretary of state of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) Dr Piotr Dardziński to the position of the government’s representative for the reform of the operation of research institutes. In turn, Piotr Müller, former Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, who took office in December 2018, became a secretary of state.

Deputy Minister Piotr Dardziński will be responsible for creating the integrated network of research centers whose main task will be transfer of knowledge to the economy.

Reform of research institutes is one of the priorities of the Polish government’s policy. Its implementation is an important element of the implementation of the Strategy for Responsible Development.
