From June 2023, the Piotrków Trybunalski branch of Kielce’s Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) will become the Piotrków Academy. Currently, the UJK branch educates students in 11 faculties.
As the Ministry of Education and Science emphasises, HEIs in smaller towns, such as the Piotrków Branch of UJK, perform many important functions and generate many developmental impulses. They are local knowledge centres that respond to the needs of the labour market in the region.
By continuously improving the quality of education, the HEI in Piotrków Trybunalski offers young people the opportunity to acquire new competences and enhance their career prospects.
“This region is about change, not least because of the fact that the Central Transport Port will be operating in close proximity. Well-prepared young people will be needed to support its operation”, said Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Science Wojciech Murdzek, who attended the Education Quality Days held in Piotrków Trybunalski.
