Planetobus- a mobile planetarium allowing the children for a journey through space, is a new didactic solution of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Copernicus Science Center. The first vehicle of science- Naukobus was launched in January.
The planetobus consists of a planetarium sphere for 35-40 students. Young visitors – under the guidance of animators from the Copernicus Center – are able to look at any part of the sky from every corner of the world, follow the course of the seasons, and also move around the Universe. Students are able to travel in time and the observatory provides animations depicting constellations from four thousand years ago.
In January 2017, Naukobus, the predecessor of Planetobus, started in Poland. It is a mobile exhibition with more than twenty activities for students, under the guidance of animators of the Copernicus Science Center. About 50,000 people participated in the first program. The Ministry of Science plans that in 2018 a mobile laboratory will reach up to 100,000 people.
