PLN 10 million will be provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to the University of Warmia and Mazury for the construction of two facilities – Law and Administration and Social Sciences centres in Olsztyn.

The documents were signed on 9 April by Prof. Ryszard Górecki, the rector of the Olsztyn university,  and Dr Sebastian Skuza, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This year in September, the University will receive PLN 2 million. The remaining funds will be transferred to Olsztyn next year. The rector had tried to receive the ministerial support for six years.

The decision of the minister shows the positive character of the reform of higher education.
– We want to strengthen regional universities. The provisions of the new act confirm it – said Deputy Minister Skuza.
