The National Science Center launched the Miniatura 2 competition. It is addressed to people with a PhD degree, received up to 12 years prior to the application, who had not managed and implemented research projects funded by the National Science Center.
The aim of “small grants” is to enable researchers to take their first steps in the grant system. The experience gained during the implementation may help in the future to run finance projects under other competitions – explains Professor Zbigniew Błocki, director of the National Science Center.
The funds obtained in the competition will be used by the researchers to complete queries and scientific internships, research, provide consultancy and conference trips, as well as preliminary and pilot examinations. The funding period is a maximum of 12 months, and the individual amount vary from 5,000. up to PLN 50,000. The total amount for the Miniatura 2 competition is PLN 20 million.
