The expenditure on Polish science and higher education will increase by PLN 3.7 billion in 2019 – said Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education.
He underlined in the interview for Polish Television news program that the new Act on Science and Higher Education replaces the four existing ones. It definitely increases the autonomy of the university, opens the promotion opportunities for young scientists and increases the level of internationalization of Polish universities and science.

– We have assumed that we will implement an algorithm to increase the expenditure on Polish science systematically next 10 years in relation to the level of GDP – said the Deputy Prime Minister. If the economy grows by, for example, 4 percent, the level of growth in expenditure on science in a given year will be slightly higher than 4 percent, always slightly above the GDP growth rate.
