On June 5-6 in Płock, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Płock Scientific Society (TNP) in cooperation with the Council of Scientific Societies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) will organize a scientific conference entitled “Social scientific movement in the process of change”.

The 200th anniversary of TNP is to be an opportunity to reflect on the social scientific movement as part of the landscape of science and collective life. The aim of the conference is to show the social scientific movement as a result and a factor of social change.

During the conference it is planned to discuss the following specific problems: transformation of scientific associations, roles and functions of scientific societies in a changing reality, a variety of goals and forms of social scientific movement, the future of scientific societies.
