– As a Minister of Science and Higher Education, I participated in over 120 different meetings with representatives of the higher education and we talked on the shape of the Act. The allegation that the law was not consulted is untrue – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin in the “Events and Opinions” program on Polsat TV.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education assured that he was calm about voting on the new Act on Science and Higher Education. He also revealed that together with Jarosław Kaczyński, the president of the ruling party Law and Justice, they spent ” a lot of time analyzing the law several times”.

The president Kaczynski was concerned to ensure the interests of regional universities as fully as possible,”- said Deputy Prime Minister Gowin. -Because Law and Justice is indeed the party that emphasizes the development of smaller and medium centers – he assured and added that “due to this law, such development of regional universities will happen”.
