As part of the XXIX Economic Forum in Krynica, on September 4, 2019, Poland will sign an agreement with the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN).
The agreement will be signed through the Medical Research Agency (ABM). This will allow Poland to obtain observer status and then to become a member of the ECRIN network, which is an international agency supporting the clinical research network in Europe.
ECRIN focuses mainly on supporting non-commercial (academic) clinical research projects, providing all the tools necessary to prepare and conduct the study (e.g. advice on financing along with applying for it, whether designing the study from the moment the center is selected for logistics activities or insurance), checking protocol (in the scientific and practical context) and research management (obtaining official permits and bioethical opinions, reporting, monitoring, data management, statistics and project management).
