Jakub Grodecki, an expert of the Polish Accreditation Committee for student affairs, was elected vice-president of the European Students Union (ESU). The elections were held online during the 79th Board Meeting.
ESU has been operating since 1982. It brings together 46 student associations from 40 countries. The aim of ESU is to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at European level vis-à-vis all relevant bodies, in particular the European Union, the Implementation Group (the body reforming the Bologna process), the Council of Europe and UNESCO. Through its members, ESU represents over 20 million students in Europe.
Jakub Grodecki is a graduate of engineering studies at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and a former representative of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland for international cooperation and internationalization of higher education.
