Eight medals including four gold and four bronze medals were won by Polish representatives in the final of the International Mathematical and Logical Games Competition. The competition, called the unofficial world championship, was organized by the Paris Diderot University.
The Polish team was selected by the May qualifying rounds, which took place at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Almost 400 people from all over the country took part in them. The youngest participant was seven years old, the oldest are already retired. Earlier, young mathematicians went through two online stages in January and March.
The International French Championship in Mathematics and Logic Games has been organized in Paris since 1987. The Polish team has been participating in them since 1992 with many successes. The Organizing Committee has already announced a change of venue for the competition, which will take place next year in Switzerland – in Lausanne.
