The Civilization Hazards Commission of the Polish Academy of Learning (PAU), the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and the Institute of Social Prevention and Rehabilitation of the University of Warsaw are organizing a conference in Kraków on June 25-26, 2021, ” Science at the service of society in pandemic situations and related threats”.

The aim of the conference is to reflect on the diagnosis of the state and society in a pandemic situation, based on the achievements of science (natural sciences, humanities and social sciences), the results of expert analysis and the effects of social activities.

During the event, scientists will present the results of the work of the interdisciplinary Team at the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences for Covid-19.

The conference is a continuation of the work of the PAU Civilization Hazards Commission dealing with the most current problems of the present. It will also promote Krakow as a research center with significant tradition and achievements in solving civilization problems in the research and practical dimensions.
