On Saturday, October 17, 2020, the first 3D mapping show “A Year in the Arctic” will be presented on the facade of the Wilanów Palace in Warsaw to show life at this Arctic research station.
The performance will show the vicinity of the Polish Polar Station Hornsund and the changing landscape of the Svalbard archipelago all the year.
The research station is under the supervision of the Department of Polar and Marine Research of the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The show “A Year in the Arctic” is an element of the EDU-ARCTIC.PL project, financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as part of the “DIALOG” program.
The mapping will be preceded by a lecture «Mysterious interior of glaciers», which will start at 6:30 pm in the Orangery of the Wilanów Palace.
