The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) will support Belarusian students, scientists and teachers with scholarships as part of the government initiative “Solidarity with Belarus”.

NAWA, together with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP), will implement three activities to support Belarusians at the request of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education: “Solidarity with students”, “Solidarity with scientists” and “Solidarity with teachers”.

As part of the “Solidarity with students” action, 150 people will receive scholarships for the 2020/2021 academic year. NAWA will allocate PLN 2 million for the program and will offer scholarships for research at Polish universities and research institutes for 25 scientists from Belarus,. The budget of the action “Solidarity with scientists” is PLN 2 million.

NAWA will also grant scholarships to 15 Polish language teachers for postgraduate studies in the academic year 2020/2021 as part of the action “Solidarity with teachers”. The budget of this action is 53,000. PLN. The teachers will be selected by the University of Silesia.
