Scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław and the German Technical University in Dresden – together with local governments and state institutions – will develop a model concept for the protection and management of cultural landscape. The research model is the garden and landscape complex in Książ. 

The project “A model concept for the protection and management of cultural landscape on the example of the Pełcznica Gorge near Książ” is financed by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt and will last until 2023. It will allow the development of a model concept for the protection and planning of the historic cultural landscape located in an area protected for natural reasons.

It will also become the basis for permanent scientific cooperation between both universities, with the participation of regional partners, for the sustainable development of the landscape in Książ. It will contribute to the growth of biodiversity, the preservation of cultural heritage, and to the development of the region, including tourism.
