On Monday, the Silesian University of Technology is launching the most important event in Poland in the field of classical and quantum mechanics – the 5th Polish Congress of Mechanics combined with the XXV International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics. The congress is held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
The Mechanics Congress continues the tradition of scientific meetings devoted to mechanics, initiated in Warsaw in 2007. The congress presents the current state of research in all disciplines of classical and quantum mechanics, mechanics of solids and liquids, computational mechanics, applied mechanics and physics, as well as mechanics and structural engineering.
The International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics continues a 50-year series of conferences devoted to numerical methods and their applications to problems in mechanics. The meetings provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of new ideas relating to the theoretical foundations and practical applications of computational mechanics.
