The Polish Institute for Advanced Studies (PIASt) of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) has announced the call for applications under the scholarship program for the academic year 2022-2023. Applications can be submitted until October 31, 2021.

In the competition organized by the Institute of Advanced Studies PIASt PAN, 12 foreign researchers will receive scholarships allowing them to conduct research in the humanities and social sciences at the PIASt institute. Scholarships are awarded in two categories: senior (8 scholarships) and junior (4 scholarships). Polish researchers who have not worked in Poland for more than 6 months in the last three years may also apply for funding.

The Polish Academy of Sciences emphasizes, that the PIASt Institute is an international space for scientific cooperation to help researchers conduct projects in the fields of humanities and social sciences, including cross – sectional projects in an interdisciplinary perspective. The aim of the institute’s activities is to promote scientific and intellectual exchange and to create an international and interdisciplinary community of researchers to discuss and exchange views.
