Polish inventions awarded in South Korea

As many as five Polish inventions were awarded at the 16th Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition. More than 370 inventors from 19 countries worldwide participated in the event.

The innovative ideas presented at the stand of the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalisers were awarded five medals: two gold, two silver and one bronze medals. 

The gold and one silver medal were won by members of the Smart Mat Scientific Club from the Kraków University of Technology (PK). The second silver medal was received by the Medical University of Łódź, while the bronze was won by the Lublin University of Technology.

The gold medal was awarded to the invention ‘Multisensitive hydrogel polymer systems’ carried out as part of the FutureLab PK project. The same award was given to another invention from the Lublin University of Technology, “Innovative nanoparticles based on natural substances as carriers of cytostatic drugs”, which was created as part of the Students’ Scientific Groups Create Innovations project. Another invention awarded a silver medal – ‘Hydrogel transdermal systems in targeted therapy for skin cancer’ – was also created as part of the Students’ Research Centres Create Innovations project.
