Polish and Israeli Education Ministers Przemyslaw Czarnek and Jo’aw Kisz signed a joint declaration on the implementation of study visits of Israeli teenagers to Poland and Polish teens to Israel.
The agreement also includes support for the young generation of Jews and Poles in learning about the common history of the two peoples and the history, culture and present of both countries.
‘We are witnessing a really very important and I dare say historic moment – an agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Education of the State of Israel”, said Minister Czarnek during the conference. The agreement, which seems to finally end the period of talks regarding the restoration of visits of Israeli youth to Poland and Polish youth to Israel”, he added.
Przemyslaw Czarnek emphasised that young Israelis and young Poles must learn in the same way about our common culture and the history of the two nations that lived here. “It is no coincidence that Poland was, is and will remain a space of freedom, also in the religious dimension”, added Minister Czarnek.
