The National Agency for Academic Exchange will fund the project ‘Nanostructured Amorphous Arseno-Selenides na-As-Se: on the road to the grand challenge in modern science and engineering of nanocomposite materials’. Among the implementers of the project are researchers from Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa.

The project is aimed at solving the current problem of material environments for modern photonics, optoelectronics and biomedicine on the basis of a new family of materials – amorphous Na-As-Se nano-arsenoselenide compounds activated by high-energy milling, reads the website of the Częstochowa university.

The research team from the Jan Długosz University will participate in quantum-chemical modelling of the structure of these materials using an authorised software code, and their characterisation by classical amorphography and annihilating positron spectroscopy methods. The project partner is a team from the Slovakian Institute of Geotechnics SAS in Košice.
