The results of the second international QS World University Rankings: Sustainability have been released. Almost 1,400 universities were ranked in this year’s ranking. The world’s leading universities include the University of Toronto, the University of California and the University of Manchester.

QS World University Rankings: Sustainability measures the ability of higher education institutions to address their greatest environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges. The assessment takes into account external evidence of a university’s commitment – from the impact that graduates have on science and technology to address climate issues, to the impact of research conducted under the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The ranking included 20 Polish universities. The best performers were Warsaw University (ranked 222), Jagiellonian University in Krakow (402) and Gdansk University of Technology (420).
