Warsaw University (335th in the world), Jagiellonian University in Krakow (386th) and AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (554th) are the three highest ranked Polish universities in the latest Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.
There are 13 Polish universities in the first thousand of the ranking, including six technical universities.
The ranking takes into account 3 indicators: visiblity/impact with a value of 50% (how readily other sites redirect to content on the university’s website), transparency/openness with a value of 10% (citations from the top 310 public profiles/authors of a university, excluding the top 30) and excellence with a value of 40% (the university’s share of the top 10% most cited articles).
The ranking is published by Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish Superior Council for Scientific Research (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC), based in Madrid.
