Polski Koncern Naftowy (PKN) Orlen has started the construction of the Research and Development Center (CBR), which will be a key investment enabling the development and implementation of its own technologies.

The tests will be carried out at the CBR to improve technological processes, products and to optimize costs. It will be also a modern cooperation platform between PKN ORLEN and science and business.

Another important goal of the investment is to promote science. The centre will include an educational part referring to the exact sciences and activities of the Orlen Group. The partners are planning to involve students and young scientists who will have the opportunity to gain experience and new competences.

The Research and Development Center will be a modern platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between the Orlen staff, and universities, institutes or startups – said the President of PKN Orlen Daniel Obajtek.
