The Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin signed a letter of intent with the City of Szczecin regarding investments in the area of streets Unia Lubelska and Zimowski. The university wants to build there a modern didactic and clinical-research center for 15 academic units.
The creation of modern research laboratories will enable large-scale research projects and the search for effective methods of cancer therapy. It will be possible to expand the educational offer with modern virtual reality technologies, medical e-learning platforms or expanding cooperation with medical simulation centers.
– We know that the investment is serious, we believe that the rector will obtain the necessary funds. I believe that the government will send funds to Szczecin to improve the center, which can further develop and affect not only Poland but also our western neighbors – said Piotr Krzystek, mayor of Szczecin, during the ceremony of signing the document.
