The representatives of the European Commission, the European Space Agency and other European institutions operating in the space sector met at the international conference “A Polish DIAS for Europe” organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw.
According to the Ministry of Science, the event was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of Copernicus Data and Information Access Services (DIAS) for Poland and the whole of Europe, and to present the potential of the Polish space sector in the processing and use of satellite data.
One of the four winning consortia that run the DIAS platform is the joint-stock company Creotech Instruments. It is the fastest growing Polish company operating in the space sector. The contract signed by the company for running the DIAS platform, amounting to approximately 16 million euros, is the largest contract for the Polish institution under the EU programs in the space sector.
