The first quantum hub in Central and Eastern Europe was established in Poznań. Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, joined the IBM Quantum Network to develop quantum computing technologies and their applications in various sciences and everyday life.

The launch of the IBM Quantum Hub in Poland is a breakthrough step towards expanding the Polish quantum ecosystem. Quantum computers will allow users to conduct the most complex, multi-factor and multi-parameter simulations in complex and dynamic processes within materials engineering and life sciences, including chemistry and biomedicine as well as innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.

Poland will use them for the purposes of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, including support for innovative solutions in industry, space technologies, metrology or crisis modeling.
