The use of innovative digital technologies in the energy sector will be the foundation of cooperation between the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre and ENEA. The energy company and the R&D centre have signed a letter of intent that defines the nature and directions of activities related to the use of digital technologies in the energy sector.
The partners announce the development and testing of a concept for a system integrating devices for which power consumption can be temporarily reduced. The system will be able to provide a power reserve to be used for balancing the National Power System or local power grids during peak consumption periods.
Joint projects between Enea and PSNC will concern research and development activities and the development of modern products and services that can be offered to customers. The cooperation is also expected to ensure the protection of Enea’s networks, systems and installations against cyber-crimes and cyber-terrorism.
